Malden Pop-up Library & Expanded Hours at Oakesdale Library
Exciting Changes to the Oakesdale and Malden Branch Libraries
Malden's First Pop-up Library on Friday, November 6
The Oakesdale and Malden branches of Whitman County Library are exciting to announce upcoming new hours and services beginning in November. To better serve the community of Oakesdale, the Oakesdale Library is expanding and moving Wednesday hours from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thanks to the generous support of the Novatus Energy Palouse Wind Farm for funding the additional hour and half.
“Expanding hours allows us to provide more programming and better access to materials and public computers for our patrons,” says Shelly Ausmus, Oakesdale Branch Manager.
The Malden Branch Manager, Vanessa Place, is looking forward to resuming services through a weekly pop-up library every Fridays at noon at the Malden City Park. Stop by and check out library materials, sign up for a library card or learn about digital resources and services available to Whitman County residents. In celebration, the Malden Library will give away free Fall grab bags for kids, teens and adults made possible by the Friends of the Malden Library.
