The community is invited to view a collection of acrylic and mixed media pieces by Moscow artist Julene Ewert in the Libey Gallery at The Center in Colfax.  The exhibit will be on display through December 30.

Ewert grew up in Troy, ID surrounded by a family of artists who she says were “bursting with creative energy.”  Her works show the strong influence of her grandmother who loved to sew, quilt, and embroider.  She also finds inspiration from nature, travel, and using common materials in surprising ways.  “My art is whimsical,” she says, “and expresses an honest and playful view of my world.”
