Child Abuse Prevention Event in Garfield & Tekoa
April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. Recognizing the importance of families and communities working together to prevent child abuse and neglect, the Garfield Library is partnering with the Crime Victim Service Center of Whitman County to offer an open house style event on Wednesday, April 5 from 12 to 2 p.m. and at Tekoa Library on Tuesday, April 11 from 2 to 4 p.m.
Meet crime victim advocate Janny Stratichuk, with Alternatives to Violence of the Palouse, as she shares information and resources on child abuse prevention. Drop in anytime and pick up fun giveaways for the kids.
