Storytimes are available at each of Whitman County Library’s 14 branches for children ages 2 years and up. Storytimes begin in the fall after the Palouse Empire Fair and end the middle of May. See Locations and Hours for the times and locations of each branch’s storytime.
At Storytime, children are involved in a variety of age appropriate activities that may include stories, poetry, fingerplays and action activities, games, musical events, crafts, puppets and creative dramatics. These activities help to promote cognitive development, imagination, curiosity, comprehension, language fluency, socialization and reading readiness.
